What the Judges Said: The visual on the label evokes the color and feel of a silky Pinot Noir. Lovely image of what looks like swirling red wine, almost a contemporary classic. Graceful, compelling, stunning photo. Good solid design.

From the Winery: “This special bottling is comprised of a blend of 3 separate clones – 114, 115 and Pommard – all from the esteemed Kessler-Haak Vineyard in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills. Each clone was brought in separately, foot stomped by winemaker Larry Schaffer, fermented 100% whole cluster, pressed and then aged for 16 months in 5+ year old French oak barrels.”
