Thanksgiving weekend (and Black Friday shopping) we stopped into @dutchgardensb for lunch. Aside from the usual menu, they had a weekend special of local foraged chanterelle and pork pie. Between that, a huge pretzel and a beer, the bill was just over $41. Or go lighter with the schnitzel salad. Support local.
Just off 154 and 101 in Santa Barbara. No matter who is at the helm, this spot has history!

@newfrontiersmarket near Solvang. Plus a few of the last issue is still in the lower compartment of the rack.

Limited supply at @buttonwoodwinery in Solvang.

The latest issue of Edible SB is here and has been spotted around town! Find copies NOW at the following places in Santa Barbara.

@thegoodlandwineshop (SB uptown). Open today until 7 pm. Wednesday 11-7 pm. Closed for the holidays.

@aubonclimat’s tasting room in downtown SB. Normal hours are 12-6 weekdays, 11-6 weekends but closed this Thursday for Thanksgiving.

@riverbench’s Santa Barbara tasting room in the funk zone! Open 12-7 every day, except Thursday. Call them to check hours on Friday. Say hi to Brad!

@margerumwines’ at the Santa Barbara tasting room! Open 12-8, except Thursday for Thanksgiving.

@americanrivierabank’s downtown SB location on Anacapa St. They are on the coffee table to the left of the tellers’ counter. Limited holiday hours, but should be open 9am-3 pm Wednesday (tomorrow).

Situated in the rolling Santa Rita Hills, Rock 12

Situated in the rolling Santa Rita Hills, Rock 12 Distillery is one of the region’s first farm to glass distillery and tasting room. Founded by Sarah and Marko Suput in 2016, Rock 12 Distillery has been a labor of love from the beginning.

Marko comes from a long line of Serbian distillers and the farm’s Copper Pot Still was hand-made by a master craftsman in Serbia and shipped to the states. It’s a small-batch, direct-fired still — the kind Marko’s family has been using in South East Europe for decades.

In 2016, Marko and Sarah purchased a working llama farm on the Sta. Rita Hills Wine Trail, with the goal of planting an orchard, harvesting local fruit and making farm-fresh craft spirits. In the winter of 2023, after years of permits, meetings, inspections and sweat, Rock 12 Distillery is now open in Buellton and making some of the best vodka, gin, liqueurs and brandy on the west coast.
