Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta and Solvang
The following markets are managed by the Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market Association (SBCFMA), a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation that holds weekly markets. If you need cash, just swing by their information booth and they can swipe your credit card for farmers market tokens. They accept all ATM/Debit Cards, as well as Visa, MasterCard and American Express. All of their markets accept CalFresh EBT, WIC and FMNP.
Carpinteria Farmers Market
The Thursday afternoon farmers market is centrally located on bustling Linden Avenue, just steps from Carpinteria’s shops, restaurants, and beach. Parking and the train station are conveniently nearby.
Santa Barbara Old Town Farmers Market
Head to the Tuesday Farmers Market on State Street and make an evening of it — meandering through shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants along the way.
Goleta Camino Real Marketplace
The Sunday farmers market offers a one-stop shopping experience, where visitors can pick up local, seasonal, and organic produce, run errands at nearby stores, and even charge their electric vehicles. Conveniently located near UC Santa Barbara, the market is popular with students and provides plenty of free parking.
Downtown Santa Barbara Farmers Market
For many locals, a Saturday morning stroll through one of the area’s largest farmers markets is a cherished weekend ritual. Arrive empty-handed at the downtown market when it opens at 8am, and leave with armfuls of vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs, meat, cheese, bread, flowers, and plants from as many as 90 vendors.
Montecito Farmers Market
Montecito’s quiet charm comes alive every Friday morning along Coast Village Road — known locally as the Lower Village — when the farmers market sets up with a colorful array of stalls. Compared to other markets organized by the Santa Barbara Certified Farmers Market Association, this one features a higher concentration of flower vendors.
Santa Barbara Fisherman’s Market
Santa Barbara’s Fisherman’s Market offers the freshest, direct-from-the-boat seafood from the harbor’s commercial fleet. Every Saturday morning, you’ll find the freshest local seafood—rockfish, sea bass, black cod, and halibut, along with seasonal offerings such as abalone, mussels, ridgeback shrimp, crab and lobster.
Solvang Farmers Market
Located in the heart of downtown, this farmers market offers seasonal, organic produce with dozens of little shops, restaurants and wine tasting rooms steps away. There is a strong Danish theme to much of the local architecture, and it’s a lovely way to shop while exploring the Santa Ynez Valley.
Lompoc and Los Olivos
Route One Farmers Market
The market features more than a dozen vendors from across the Central Coast, including many businesses proudly based in the Lompoc Valley. It accepts all major credit and debit cards, along with EBT, WIC Summer checks, and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks. Route One is also the only farmers market within a 67-mile stretch—from San Luis Obispo to Solvang—that accepts both EBT and offers Market Match.
Mattei’s Farmer’s Market
Each week, Mattei’s Tavern hosts a Farmers Market where the region’s best growers and artisans come together to share their fresh, seasonal bounty. Visitors can shop for locally sourced produce and artisanal goods from vendors like Tutti Frutti, Roblar Farms, Lavender Fields Forever, and more. Guests are invited to stroll the historic grounds, savor the flavors of the season, and connect with the farmers and makers who help bring the community to life.
