CrossHatch Winery

CrossHatch Winery has moved into Santa Barbara’s Haley Street corridor, with notable results. The new space more than doubles the size of its Santa Ynez Valley footprint and expands room for owner Michelle Vautier’s goal to bring people together. If you’re heading to the freeway from Santa Barbara’s Saturday farmers market, you’ve probably driven right by it. The winemaker already has a lineup of small-batch blends with layered complexity, but her new location creates space for guests to connect and collaborate while enjoying her wine. Since opening, she has hosted an artisan event, the Beachside Babes Market, and plans to have cooking classes in the industrial kitchen as well as outdoor space.
Utilizing the kitchen of former tenants Pure Joy Catering, CrossHatch offers small bites on weekends, including Vautier’s famous homemade empanadas that showcase her Argentinean roots, or there could be oysters and fresh seasonal produce from a local farm. With an active wine club and happy hour Thursday and Friday, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
