Ingredients

  • ½ pound red cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • Zest and juice of one orange or large tangerine
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons miso paste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the cabbage, green onions and carrot in a large bowl. Add the zest of the orange or tangerine and then squeeze the juice into a small bowl. Add the vinegar, miso paste, sesame oil, a dash of salt and pepper to the juice and whisk until smooth. Add to the cabbage and toss to coat evenly. Taste and add additional salt and pepper to taste.
