- 1 ounce Cocktail & Sons Honeysuckle & Peppercorns syrup
- 2 ounces lime juice
- 1 ½ ounces grenadine, home made
- 5 ounces gin, Cutler's recommended
- Splash Pernod, or absinthe
- 2 nasturtium leaves, each about the same size as a quarter for garnish
For the Grenadine
- 1 ½ cups pomegranate juice, unsweetened
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon orange flower water
In a cocktail shaker combine the Honeysuckle & Peppercorns syrup, lime juice, grenadine and gin. Add ice and shake well. Rinse 2 up glasses with a splash of Pernod. The goal is to just coat the glass—you don’t need a puddle of it in the bottom. Drain the shaker contents into the glasses. Add 1 nasturtium leaf garnish to each glass.
For the Grenadine
Over medium-high heat (a low boil) reduce the pomegranate juice to 1 cup. Add the sugar and then heat and stir until it dissolves. Remove from the heat. Let cool slightly and add the lemon juice and orange flower water. Let cool. Store in a jar in the refrigerator; it will remain good for weeks.
