A Unique “Edible” Tour of Italy’s Beautiful Piemonte Region

September 22–29, 2012, Edible Santa Barbara hosted a culinary tour of Piemonte, Italy. Krista Harris was blogging along the way, and you can read the entries below.

Piemonte is famous for truffles, wine and amazing food, and fall is the best time to experience it. We visited wineries, craft breweries, artisan food makers and cheese producers. 

The tour began and ended in Torino and in between we visited Monferrato, Asti, the Langhe region, Barolo and Lake Orta.

About the Tour:The tour was limited to only 12 people, so we traveled as a small group of friends, not like a big tour group. We focused on visiting unique places, seeing behind the scenes and enjoying unique experiences.
